Welcome to the 46th National ConventionWelcome to the 46th Woodmen of the World/Omaha Woodmen National Convention Web site. Nearly 800 Woodmen of the World members, officers and guests from across the country participated in the convention which was held July 26-29, 2009 at the Hilton Austin Hotel in Austin, Texas. The four-day gathering features a variety of events and activities. Guest dignitaries include National Fraternal Congress of America President and CEO Joseph Annotti and Keynote Speaker Mark Scharenbroich. Attendees and guests enjoyed tours of Austin attractions such as the Texas State Capitol, LBJ Presidential Library, Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum, Barton Creek Mall and an evening cruise to view the Congress Avenue Bridge Bats. Meet Johnny Austin
Johnny and his family joined Woodmen 20 years ago, and this is his first National Convention. He's eager to welcome members from all over the nation to his home state of Texas, and to share his adventures at the Convention through his blog and on twitter.
