Pamela J. Hernandez was elected Executive Vice President, Operations and Secretary on October 1, 2008.
A native of Omaha, Neb., Hernandez started her Woodmen of the World career in 1984 as an educational instructor in the Field Education Department. She was promoted to Field Communications Manager in 1988 and Project Implementation Manager in 1993. In 2001, Hernandez was appointed an Assistant Vice President and in 2002, she was promoted to Human Resources Manager. She was named Vice President, Human Resources in 2004. In June 2006, she became Senior Vice President, Operations and Strategy Management.
Hernandez is a member of Lodge 1 in Omaha. She has held all Lodge offices, including President in 1991. Hernandez serves on the Board of the Institute for Career Advancement Needs (ICAN) and is an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church where she serves in the Vestry, on the Education Committee, is a Sunday School teacher and is Chair of the Search Committee.
Hernandez received a BS in Education from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (UNL) in 1975 and an M.A. from the same school in 1978. She obtained her FLMI designation in 1989 and is a registered representative with Woodmen Financial Services.
