Woodmen fo the World Hosts 24 Youth Members During National Convention Youth Forum

Omaha, Neb. — Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society hosted 24 youth members at the Youth Forum of the 46th Woodmen of the World National Convention July 27-29. The primary purpose of the forum is to engage Woodmen youth and to seek their input on the future of Woodmenâ€™s fraternal youth programs.

Attendees participated in four learning sessions: "Building Trust", "Generating Creative Ideas", "Presentation Skills" and "Goal Setting". The curriculum was centered on leadership, teaching what it means to be inter-dependent and on sharpening skills in helping making a difference in the lives of others. As part of the forum, each representative planned a lodge project for use in their respective lodges upon their return home.

The youth represented 24 of the 27 Jurisdictions of Woodmen of the World lodges. Each attendee completed an application process describing activities they were involved in either through their community or lodge along with an essay as to why they would be a good youth representative from their jurisdiction.

Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society and/or Omaha Woodmen Life Insurance Society is a Nebraska corporation that is licensed as Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society (Woodmen of the World) in all states and the District of Columbia, except CA, CO, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, WA and WY.
